Ms. Gussie

The backbone of Pace Island Honey

At the heart of our honey is a story rooted in land, legacy, and love.

This honey is named in honor of Ms. Gussie of Pace Island, the original steward of the land where our bees now gather. Long before our hives were placed, she cared for this space in a way that allowed its natural beauty to thrive—creating the very environment that now sustains our bees and the blooms they depend on.

Though Ms. Gussie is no longer with us, her presence is still felt in every wildflower, every tree, and every golden harvest. The nectar collected here is a reflection of the land she once knew so well—rich, vibrant, and full of life.

Naming our honey after her is our way of honoring that connection. It is a tribute not only to the sweetness of the honey itself, but to the woman whose legacy continues to nourish it. Each jar tells a story—of place, of care, and of the lasting impact one life can have on the land and the people who carry it forward.
